Hot Coffee Recipes


Original Recipe:

Mix 1 part Kohana Cold Brew Concentrate to 2 parts hot milk (of any kind) or water. Serve hot for a delicious coffee beverage.

Pumpkin Spice Latte

1/3 cup Kohana Cold Brew

2/3 cup milk

¼ to ½ tsp Pumpkin Spice

2 tsp Honey or  Agave sweetener

Stir the pumpkin spice into the honey or agave nectar. Mix in Kohana Cold Brew. Heat milk for one minute on high in the microwave in a microwave proof measuring cup (easier to pour from). Pour the heated milk into the spice, honey, coffee concentrate mixture and stir to mix. Serve immediately.

Options: You can get frothed milk by whisking the cold milk vigorously for 2-3 minutes (with a wire whisk) until froth is forming. Then microwave frothed milk for a more authentic latte feel. Top with a dash of additional pumpkin spice or ground cinnamon for an extra touch.

Cold Brew Coffee Eggnog

3 oz Kohana Cold Brew

6 oz Egg Nog

Mix the Kohana Cold Brew and eggnog together in a cup. This is all it takes to make an amazingly festive holiday drink.

Note: Egg nog is difficult to heat so we normally sample this close to room temperature.

Option: topping with a pinch of nutmeg is a festive add.


1/3 cup Kohana Cold Brew

2/3 cup Chocolate Almond milk

1 or 2 drops of Peppermint Extract

Heat Kohana Cold Brew and chocolate almond milk in microwave for 1 minute (more as desired). Add drops of peppermint extract and stir.

Options: Finish with whipped cream and some crushed Trader Joe’s peppermint candy as a topping.

Add 1 peppermint stirrer (if desired).
